My Child New Beginnings

Play My Child New Beginnings
How do you rebuild life after trauma? Welcome to a new time with your wonderful child Karin/Klaus and explore topics of parenting, ethical decision making and introspection.

My Child New Beginnings is a parenting simulator where you go through everyday life of growth. After a series of traumatic events that you and your child went through, explore the beauties and pains of raising a preteen, while moving forward in life in this ongoing healing process. Help your child cope with the painful events they have experienced.

MCNB is an emotional successor to the award-winning game My Child Lebensborn; a dark tamagochi based on the real history of Children Born of War in Norway. In My Child New Beginnings we step away from the real history of the Lebensborn and put you in an alternative reality where Karin/Klaus is not a war child, but they carry the same burdens.

Care for Karin/Klaus
The core of the game is caring for this wonderful child full of creativity and love. Help them figure out their place in life, as they meet new friends and learn more about the world.

Parenting challenges - Connect with your child
You have the ability to create bonds with Klaus/Karin and will learn the beauty and struggle of what it's like to be a parent. Experience wonderful memories with your child, while making difficult decisions that will affect who they become. Will you aim to be a positive role model, or will your emotions get in the way of what might be the more 'ethical' thing to do?

How do you explain death to a child? What do you do when your child experiences bullying? Sometimes what we feel as a parent is different from what is right. In My Child New Beginnings we allow room for your care for the child, and for introspection on how to introduce life to a young one.

Simulation of everyday life
MCNB is a life simulator, where you can do everyday tasks like going to work, getting groceries, cooking dinner and so on. The moments with the child are integrated into this daily life.

Rebuilding life after trauma
Working with trauma psychologists, we bring the reality of past experiences in your everyday life with Karin/Klaus. Trauma is not an endpoint, nor is progress in life. It is an integrated process of managing and being aware. We allow the realities of past experiences to shine through in moments you'll have with Karin/Klaus - and allow you both to heal together.
